Strangers at the Gate
You rule a wealthy kingdom that controls important trade routes.
One day, several strange ships appear near your coast.
The visitors come from very far away. There aren't many of them, and they claim they only want to trade.
They bring unusual weapons and valuable goods. They also ask a LOT of questions:
Where does your gold come from?
Who are your enemies?
Which nearby rulers dislike you?
How strong is your army?
Your advisors disagree about whether they're dangerous.
What do you do?
A. Welcome them. New trade could make your kingdom even richer.
B. Allow limited trade, but don't let them travel freely or learn much about your kingdom.
